President of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, Mark Weiler, Retires after 16+ Years at the Helm
What does a man do after developing a successful, Illinois-based business, and retiring in the mid 90s? He joins Linda and Pat Parelli and gets passionate about helping two people on a mission to change the world for horses and the people who love them.
Mark Weiler is a man of determination and action. He is fearless, energetic, positive, and sure. Within a short time of getting to know Pat and Linda, he said he knew how to help them with their mission, rolled up his sleeves, and got to work on life after retirement.
During his 16-year tenure as partner, President, and CEO of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, Mark helped take Parelli to high levels of exposure and influence all over the world. He became an active member of the Pagosa Springs community and worked with the county to provide jobs and careers as the Parelli business grew to become one of the three largest employers at the time in the offices built on the street that was subsequently named “Parelli Way.”
Mark Weiler didn’t need to work; he wanted to work—on a mission that became a part of his heart.
Mark met his future wife, Leslie-Ann, at a Parelli event in 2002. Together, they have made Pagosa Springs their home, and the time has come for Mark’s second retirement so that he can finally enjoy the life he’s earned with his wife, horses, and dog Patsy.
“Mark has been a close part of our family, through thick and thin, as we have built the Parelli legacy together,” say Pat and Linda. “His contribution to our mission has been immense, and he was sure to set us up for the future with a competent management team already in place. Even though Mark no longer works as an employee of PNH, his mentorship and counsel is something we will always value. We look forward to seeing him and continuing our friendship.”

Thank you for everything, Mark. We will miss seeing your smiling, “never-better-ever” face in the office every day!
